Dressage Training with Jo Swain..

Professional dressage training is available on a one-to-one basis with your own horse. Swallowfield's Jo Swain is a registered British Dressage Trainer, working towards her UKCC Level 3 coaching certificate, Central BYRDS Trainer, selector and accredited judge. Jo is one of the Senior Central-Region Trainers and Home International Selectors and a registered U21-UK trainer. Jo presently competes her own Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings is now back in work after injury and will be competing at Small Tour at the end of the summer. Jo has recently been appointed by British Dressage, to the role of rider training representative for the central region.



PRIVATE LESSONS..
All abilities of rider are welcome to book private lessons, from Preliminary to PSG level. Please telephone the yard on 01564 784475 during office hours to book a lesson. Outside clients charges are £30 for a 45 minute lesson, Swallowfield Equestrian club members enjoy a £5.00 discount.

BYRDS & SENIOR CENTRAL TRAINING..
Jo has been involved with the coaching and development of both BYRDS and Senior riders in the Central region for the past five years. 2010 saw many BYRDS riders well placed in their inter regionals, and helping secure two top 6 team positions for the Senior Teams at the prestigious Senior Home International, which is now a highlight in the dressage calender. Training clinics are fortnightly, booked directly with Jo, and places fill up fast. Even if you do not wish to aim to compete on a team,you can come along for a lesson, or just come and watch.

BYRDS lessons are £30.00 and Senior riders are £38.00 when riding on official British Dressage training dates and cheques must be paid directly to Jo at Swallowfield EC, but cheques payable to British Dressage.   • Davinia Leach:
    Davinia has been training with Jo for 14 months after joining British Dressage and competed in her first Home International 2011, and was well placed included a 1ST and 2nd coming 5th overall prelim level. Davinia has moved up to Novice level and is looking forward to training with her Connemara Zac and aiming for Regional Finals and Home International 2012.



    Sue Lee:
    Sue has been training with Jo for 18 months and was placed 6th in the Addington Prelim Regionals 2010. Sue and Daisinski have attended Central Camp, contested the Inter-Regionals and was selected for the Home International 2010 where she famously broke her wrist 3 days before (playing Badminton for the England team!). Sue and Daisinski will be contesting the Novice FSM Winter Regionals, and is aiming to compete at Elementary level this year. Sue is the current National BHS Trec Champion (in her spare time).



    Rachel Hannaford:
    Rachel has been traing with Jo for 12 months and came 10th in her summer Regionals at Elementary level, and was also well placed at the Home International 2010. Rachel is moving up to Medium level this year and is looking forward to a grilling at the Spring Central Camp, will compete at the Inter Regionals and is aiming for the Home International 2011.



    Jane Imbush:
    Jane returned to riding after an absence of 25 years in 2006. She has one horse (nick name Boss Tick) on whom she competes in other disciplines as well as dressage and has had some success. Jane has been training with Jo since attending the the British Dressage Central Camp in 2010 and undertook her first affiliated competition in June 2010. Working full time means that training and riding has to be fitted into a very hectic schedule but is a complete release from the day job. Jane competes at Novice level and hopes to move up to Elementary level this year.
