Jo Swain is one of the Central Regions Senior selectors for teams and
regional training. BYRDS riders are coached from the ages of 8 (fledglings
to 25 yrs old) in a safe and friendly environment at Swallowfield, where
facilities are second to none. Even if you do not wish to represent your
region on a team, the training will set youngsters up on the correct pathway
for training and competing.
Jo is currently completing her Level 3 coaching course, has full child
protection, and is a registered BYRDS judge.

Central BYRDS have just returned from the Keysoe Inter Regional Finals,
with the Central Pink TEam placed 3rd out of 30 teams. Central had may
individula placings, but Shannon Rule and Disco Diva won the overall A
squad rider, with Rachel Clark placed 4th.
Rachel Clark, then has just come 2nd in the A squad ridere ride-off at
Hartpury CDI on Thursday 14th July!!

PRIVATE LESSONS..
All abilities of rider are welcome to book private lessons, from
Preliminary to PSG level. Please telephone the yard on 01564 784475
during office hours to book a lesson. Outside clients charges are
£30 for a 45 minute lesson, Swallowfield Equestrian club members
enjoy a £5.00 discount.
BYRDS & SENIOR CENTRAL TRAINING..
Jo has been involved with the coaching and development of
both BYRDS and Senior riders in the Central region for the
past five years. 2010 saw many BYRDS riders well placed in
their inter regionals, and helping secure two top 6 team
positions for the Senior Teams at the prestigious Senior
Home International, which is now a highlight in the dressage
calender. Training clinics are fortnightly, booked
directly with Jo, and places fill up fast. Even if you
do not wish to aim to compete on a team,you can come
along for a lesson, or just come and watch.
BYRDS lessons are £30.00 and Senior riders are £38.00
when riding on official
British Dressage
training dates and cheques
must be paid directly to Jo at Swallowfield EC, but
cheques payable to
British Dressage. Bookings must be at least one
week before, as places fill up quickly.

Meet a few of the Central BYRDS Riders..
Esther Taylor:
Esther is from Stourbridge in the West Midlands and is based with
Sue Brennan. She has been competing Sue's horse, Uno for the past
8 months and is the new Novice Restricted Freestyle to Music Champion. Esther also events
to Intermediate level with her own horse Superius who she also
competes at Novice level.

Paddy Cush:
Paddy Cush is 15yrds old and has ridden Basil for 4
years. Paddy is based now full time with Jo at
Swallowfield and is working at Elementary level. Paddy
is a B squad rider and was an important member of the
2011 regional teams.

Katie Attenborrow:
Katie is 22yrs old and is Swallowfielsd's yard superviser.
Katie events her own horse, Jack, and
rides Jo's horse Lord of the Rings for BYRDS Teams.
Katie is an A squad rider and a UKCC level 2 coach

Millie Logan:
Millie Logan has been training with Jo for the last two years
and is riding Bertie her Mothers coloured cob, who came 7th
in the 2009 Trailblazer Prelim finals. He is now competing
with Millie in affiliated Prelim classes and Trailblazer elementary classes and
Millie will be contesting Bertie in the BYRDS Inter Regionals 2011.

Harriet Gray:
Harriet Gray is 15 years old, she has had her 6 year old horse
George for a year now and has been training with Jo at Swallowfield
during that time. She competed at the keysoe BYRDS inter regionals
2011 and has qualified for the British Dressage Preliminary
summer regionals with over 70%. Harriet is looking forward
to a successful partnership with George in the future.

Eleanor Evans:
Eleanor Evans is 12 years old and has been attending BYRDS training
with Jo for the past 9 months. She has had her 14h mare Munchie
for just 2 months, but already the partnership won their first Prelim
class and were placed 3rd in the Novice class with 68%. Eleanor
is looking forward to a successful partnership with Munchie and
being part of the BYRDS squads. She is hoping to go to the Area
Pet Plan festival at Novice.
